A conference to help survivors of severe child abuse (ritual abuse) and torture will be held on August 6 - 8, 2010, between 8 - 5 PM Saturday and Sunday at the DoubleTree Hotel near Bradley International Airport, 16 Ella Grasso Turnpike, Windsor Locks, CT 06096 (between Hartford, CT and Springfield, MA). The periodical originally created by David Calof, *Treating Abuse Today* is gearing up for republication. A related development is that we are also organizing a Society for Treating Abuse Today (STAT) that will host a listserve for diverse helping professionals and survivors. It will be run on a consensus basis with the discussion of ideas related to the treatment of abuse and trauma fields. There is no cost for joining this listserve.
