Mama June's other daughter was present during sister's sexual abuse, Witnesses: FAMU hazing suspect led ritual on bus

Mama June's other daughter was present during sister's sexual abuse  October 29, 2014

More disturbing details have emerged about the abuse June “Mama June” Shannon’s kids suffered at the hands of her then-live-in boyfriend Mark McDaniel.

According to newly released court documents, not just Anna Cardwell- - who has spoken about McDaniel molesting her-- was affected by the pedophile her mother was dating. The documents posted by Radar Online reveal Shannon’s then three-year-old daughter had to watch McDaniel sexually abuse her older sister.

A police report from 2004 details an interview Cardwell, now 20, had with an official from the Division of Family and Children Services. In the interview, Cardwell stated that she was forced to have sex with McDaniel.

“Anna then stated that her sister… is in the bed with them when this is going on,” the court documents detail....

Cardwell, who now has a child of her own, told People magazine her mother didn't believe her when she spoke out about the abuse. According to court documents, she first revealed what she had gone through to a teacher at her school.

"A week or so after it happened, I talked to Mama and she was upset, crying and saying, 'I don't believe you,'" she recalled. "And I was like, 'Mama, he did that to me and I can't do anything about it. You were never there to see it. You were always at work.'"

McDaniel went to jail for aggravated child molestation and was released in March. He has since been photographed with June Shannon, which prompted TLC to cancel “Honey Boo Boo.”

Witnesses: FAMU hazing suspect led ritual on bus
Wednesday, October 29, 2014

ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) — The Florida A&M band member being tried on hazing charges in the death of a drum major was the ring leader and decided who could participate in the initiation ritual, two former band members said Wednesday.

Former band member Lizette Sanchez testified that Dante Martin decided who was allowed to participate in the hazing ritual known as "crossing Bus C." She said she initially decided she wasn't going to take part her sophomore year in 2011, but changed her mind in an effort to end shunning from older band members who called her a "bad upperclassman" for not having done it.

"I felt like I was breaking a tradition," Sanchez said.

She completed the ritual shortly before Robert Champion of Decatur, Georgia, went through it following a football game in November 2011. Champion died from injuries sustained during the ritual, which involved getting kicked, punched and hit with band instruments. Martin is charged with manslaughter and hazing in the incident....
