(CNN) -- An Australian commission is hearing allegations of the physical and sexual abuse of boys in the care of the Salvation Army over several decades.

The shocking treatment at some of the organization's boys homes included rape, beatings, locking boys in cages and, in one case, forcing a boy to eat his own vomit, the commission was told Tuesday.

The public hearings, taking place in Sydney, are part of a wide-ranging investigation into how Australian institutions responded to cases of child sexual abuse.

The current phase is focusing on the Salvation Army's response to abuse that took place in four of its boys homes in the states of Queensland and New South Wales in the 1960s and '70s....

The Salvation Army isn't denying the abuse, which came to light previously. It has apologized, admitting that hundreds of boys suffered in its care....

Those who did complain weren't generally taken seriously.

"In cases when abuse was reported, the boys were often disbelieved and were punished for reporting what were characterized as 'lies,'" he told the hearing....

A priest told a former resident of a church-run children's home in Northern Ireland that he was the product of an evil and satanic relationship, an inquiry has heard.

The son of an unmarried mother said he became a zombie, introverted and fearing the next beating, lying soaked in urine at night in an attempt to dissuade any sexual abusers from "dropping the hand".

He was a resident at St Joseph's in Termonbacca, Londonderry, run by the Sisters of Nazareth order of nuns, in the 1950s and complained about his treatment to a priest after leaving the home.

The response was: "You must never speak about this, you must understand... you and the other orphans are bastards. You are the product of an evil and satanic relationship. You never had a chance."....

"I have waited 65 years to say this. When I was reared by the Sisters of the Congregation of Nazareth it was equivalent to being reared by the Taliban, such was their sadism, their lack of empathy, their fundamentalism, their lack of dignity to the little helpless boy."

He ran away and was recovered time after time.

One nun smirked and said: "Welcome back, your majesty," the witness said.

"Then the beatings would start."....

Veteran DJ Dave Lee Travis told police after his arrest on suspicion of sexual offences that he would have reported fellow BBC broadcaster Jimmy Savile if he had known he was a paedophile.

Travis said he knew that Savile liked young girls and thought “good luck to him”.

But he told police that he did not think the girls were under-age, jurors at London's Southwark Crown Court heard.

Reading extracts from interviews with police after Travis's arrest in November 2012, junior prosecutor Teresa Hay said that, although the defendant denied the offences, he described such groping behaviour as the “norm” during the 1970s.

Ms Hay told jurors: “He said if he had touched someone's breasts he would admit it as it was considered to be a bit flirtatious at the time and no-one thought that much about it....

LAWYERS acting for victims in the Jimmy Savile sex abuse scandal are now looking into the activities of the disgraced DJ at a Notts secondary school.

The school in West Bridgford has not been named but it is understood that the BBC presenter hosted roadshows there in the 1970s....

Eight sex abuse complaints, made to Notts Police in light of Operation Yewtree – set up by the Metropolitan Police in the wake of the scandal – have been referred to the Met, although not all necessarily relate to Savile himself....

High profile sexual abuses cases including that of disgraced DJ Jimmy Savile have led to a 20% rise in reports of historic offences to Devon and Cornwall Police.

Savile, now exposed as a predatory paedophile, is thought to have targeted hundreds of youngsters across the country in attacks spanning from 1955 to 2009.

Investigations have been launched into complaints that four youngsters were abused by the star during visits to the Royal Marines’ prestigious Commando Training Centre at Lympstone, in East Devon. Another attack is said to have taken place at a mental health facility in Exeter in 1970....

Devon and Cornwall Police said 40% of all sexual offences now reported to them were historic – with a 20% increase (or 157 crimes) in complaints so far this year.

Detective Superintendent Paul Northcott, head of public protection at Devon and Cornwall Police, said the figures were “really positive” and reflected victims’ growing confidence in being treated seriously....

Lostprophets singer Ian Watkins has been sentenced to 35 years for a string of child sex offences including the attempted rape of a baby.

Watkins, 36, from Pontypridd, pleaded guilty at Cardiff Crown Court last month to 13 child sex offences.

His two co-defendants, who are the mothers of children he abused, were jailed for 14 and 17 years....

IPCC INVESTIGATION

Police watchdog the IPCC is investigating three forces over their handling of allegations made about Ian Watkins between 2008-2012.

South Yorkshire, Bedfordshire and South Wales are being investigated over information received about Watkins prior to his arrest in December 2012.

Three other forces, Essex, West Yorkshire and the Metropolitan Police, also supplied information that they had been given about Watkins for the inquiry but are not currently under investigation.

An officer from South Wales is the focus of the IPCC probe there.

Three reports were made to South Yorkshire between March and May 2012 relating to Watkins.

A member of the public reported an allegation of child abuse against Watkins in October 2012 to Bedfordshire Police.

The Catholic Archbishop of Brisbane, Mark Coleridge, says members of the clergy were caught like "rabbits in a headlight" when a pastoral and redress scheme for victims of child sexual abuse was first rolled out.

The Royal Commission into Institutional Responses to Child Sexual Abuse is examining the Towards Healing process established by the Catholic Church in 1996....

Towards Healing key points:

    originally set up in 1996 to establish protocols for the church to deal with abuse cases
    the policy included the capacity for church authorities to make loans or reimburse an accused perpetrator's legal expenses
    it also established the role of director of professional standards for each State and Territory
    following a review in 2009 the church agreed to cooperate with police investigations
    the revised and current version of Towards Healing was published in January 2010
    2215 complaints have been received under the Towards Healing procedures
    over 60 per cent of all these abuse incidents occurred at a school, college, or orphanage
    the Christian Brothers received the largest number of complaints, followed by the Marist Brothers, and then the De La Salle brothers.
    a total of $43 million has been paid by all church authorities as a result of the complaints
    the highest reported reparation amount paid for a Towards Healing complaint was about $850,000

A further 19 hospitals are to carry out investigations after receiving police information about serial sex attacker Jimmy Savile, the government has said.

The Metropolitan Police have passed material about Savile to the Department of Health, which has given it to the 19 hospital trusts to investigate.

Health Secretary Jeremy Hunt said he expected reports on visits by the late DJ to those hospitals by next June.

It brings the total number of hospitals under investigation to 32....

The 19 hospitals extra to carry out investigations are Barnet General Hospital, Booth Hall Children's Hospital, De La Pole Hospital, Dryburn Hospital, Hammersmith Hospital, Leavesden Secure Mental Hospital, Marsden Hospital, Maudsley Hospital, North Manchester General Hospital, Odstock Hospital, Pinderfields Hospital, Prestwich Psychiatric Hospital, Queen Victoria Hospital, East Grinstead, Royal Free Hospital, London, Royal Victoria Infirmary, Newcastle, Seacroft Hospital, Leeds, Queen Mary's Hospital, Carshalton, Whitby Memorial Hospital and Wythenshawe Hospital.

Retired consultant paediatrician Michael Salmon was charged with rape and four indecent assaults on girls aged under 18

The doctor arrested by police probing Jimmy Savile’s sordid past was once praised by Princess Diana for his work with sick children.

Retired consultant paediatrician Michael Salmon was yesterday charged with rape and four indecent assaults on girls aged under 18.

The 78-year-old is alleged to have abused youngsters in hospitals around Aylesbury, Bucks, including Stoke Mandeville where serial pervert Savile targeted patients for sex attacks during his time as a fundraiser there.

Dr Salmon worked at Stoke ­Mandeville in the 80s. He was hailed by Diana for organising a 1987 trip to Disney World in Florida for 300 disabled kids.

The sex attacks he is accused of are said to have happened between 1972 and 1985.

Police stressed none of the allegations involve Savile....

Veteran BBC broadcaster Paul Gambaccini has been arrested as part of a wider British inquiry set up to examine sexual abuse stemming from claims against late presenter Jimmy Savile.

The US-born radio and TV presenter, 64, confirmed his arrest in a statement but denied the allegations.

He was released on bail following his arrest on Tuesday, which the BBC had previously refused to confirm.

The BBC said the DJ would not be presenting his weekly radio show for "coming weeks".

An Internet pedophile ring with up to 70,000 members — thought to be the world's largest —has been uncovered by police, a security official said Wednesday.

The European police agency Europol said in a statement that "Operation Rescue" had identified 670 suspects and that 230 abused children in 30 countries had been taken to safety. More children are expected to be found, Europol said.

It said that so far 184 people had been arrested and investigations in some countries were continuing. Most of those detained are suspected of direct involvement in sexually abusing children.

They include teachers, police officers and scout leaders, AP reported. One Spaniard who worked at summer youth camps is suspected of abusing some 100 children over five years.

Europol director Rob Wainwright said Wednesday the ring, which communicated using an Internet forum, was "probably the largest online pedophile network in the world."

Cori Bassett, a public affairs officer for U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, said in an email that there had been five arrests and four convictions in connection with Operation Rescue in the U.S....

"The website operated from a server based in the Netherlands and, at its height, boasted up to 70,000 members worldwide," it added....

There are many horrors that Elizabeth Reed recalls from her time at London’s Royal Waterloo Hospital, but one in particular lingers in her mind. She describes a small, windowless room at the top of the red-brick Edwardian building, just lit by a night lamp on a nurse’s desk.

Six beds are jammed together. The deep breathing of women in a drug-induced sleep. The fetid stench of unwashed bodies.

‘It was like being buried alive,’ she says. ‘I was lying there in the dark, hour after hour, and couldn’t move. I wasn’t aware of my body,  just my head in this darkness. You could hear people moving around and other people breathing and moaning.’

While Elizabeth is one of only a handful of women prepared to speak out, her story is not unique. Up to 500 women, suffering from conditions such as postnatal depression and anorexia, passed through the Royal Waterloo’s infamous Ward 5 before it shut 40 years ago.

Heavily drugged and subjected to horrendous levels of electro-convulsive therapy (ECT) and even lobotomies, the unluckiest were taken to the 'Narcosis Room', where they were put to sleep for weeks at a time.

Almost all teenage girls and women in their early 20s, they were treated as little more than guinea pigs by controversial psychiatrist William Sargant as he conducted a bizarre experiment to ‘repattern’ their brains and cure them of depression.

....questions remain about why the women of Ward 5 were subjected to such cruelty at an NHS hospital. Two of them, now in their 60s, spoke about their experiences to Femail this week....

Officially, the Department of Health says it no longer has records of Sargant’s work at the Royal Waterloo, affiliated to London’s St Thomas’s Hospital. However, Elizabeth has a copy of her referral letter from January 1973, stamped with the ominous words: ‘Admit to Ward 5.’ Notes reveal she was given a ‘course of narcosis’....

She was admitted to the Royal Waterloo in spring 1973 when she was 22 and engaged to be married. After arriving on the 22-bed Ward 5, she was sedated and underwent ECT — sometimes every other day.

‘I can remember the sound of the ECT machine being wheeled down the corridor and it being switched on and off in other rooms,’ she says.

‘It was so frightening. First of all, they injected you and you had an awful feeling of falling backwards into yourself. After ECT, you didn’t know who you were.’....

Eventually, Elizabeth was moved into the Narcosis Room beside Ward 5 and put into a drug-induced sleep.

'I was awake, but couldn’t move or speak. It was torture, lying there for hours in the darkness'

Women there were occasionally woken to be taken to the toilet or to be fed. ‘We were like zombies,’ says Elizabeth. ‘I couldn’t walk. I had to be lifted. Afterwards, they put you back to sleep again.

Sargant, a founding member of St Thomas’s department of psychological medicine, who advocated the use of drugs to treat mental illness, operated his ‘sleep room’ for ten years until 1973. Four patients are known to have died there and yet no one stepped in to stop him....

At the heart of his treatment was his belief that the brain could be ‘repatterned’ to erase bad memories.

His fame - due to TV and radio interviews and best-selling books - ensured a steady stream of patients....

The secrecy surrounding Dr Sargant’s work has even led to claims he was being bankrolled by British intelligence and the CIA. He certainly had links to the military in World War II, working at Porton Down, the Ministry of Defence biological and chemical weapons research base.

But long before he died in 1988, Sargant destroyed all his records, which might have shed light on his sinister treatments....

A leading psychiatric expert, Professor Malcolm Lader of King’s College, London, recalls how, as a junior doctor, Sargant showed him his sleep room several times in 1966....

‘The women were really cramped together. It was dark. It was like twilight. There was a terrible smell of unwashed bodies.

‘It was a fraught procedure to be sedated for that amount of time. Most importantly, there was no evidence that narcosis had any effect.

‘He was doling out drugs in large doses that were way above the recommended maximum dose. I resolved never to send anyone there.’....

There were also rumours, says Professor Lader, that Sargant was untouchable because he was supported by British intelligence or the CIA. He was a frequent traveller to the U.S. and wrote in his autobiography of being entertained at the White House during one of his trips.

‘He was interested in brainwashing and so was the CIA. He may have been protected by his contacts.’

Perhaps it is no coincidence that Ward 5 and Sargant’s sleep room closed when he retired in 1973 — the same year the CIA officially ended its top-secret mind-control experiments, codenamed Project MKUltra....

A Satanic cult has been blamed for the sickening death of a pony, which was found horrifically mutilated and laying in the remnants of a ring of fire after full moon....

It was also surrounded by circular patches of burnt moorland, which experts believe were left by a ring of torches or candles. The two-month old pony seemed to have been dragged into a clearing and placed at the foot of a slope to face the previous night’s full moon.  It was found on Tuesday morning by a horse rider at Yennadon Down, a remote, area of Devon National Park....

Dartmoor and the surrounding countryside in Devon and Cornwall has been dogged by rumours of Satanic rituals for years. In 2012 a two-year-old horse called Eric belonging to Dawn Jewell, 27, was found mutilated on the day of satanic animal sacrifice....

Unfortunately, as Allen Hornblum, Judith Newman, and Gregory Dober painfully describe in their chilling new book, “Against Their Will: The Secret History of Medical Experimentation on Children in Cold War America,’’ Fernald was not the only institution in the country, or even in the state, where children were conscripted into sometimes deadly medical experiments. These were conducted by ambitious physicians and scientists whose belief in what they were trying to accomplish often blinded them to the potentially horrific consequences of their actions.

“Against Their Will’’ opens with an overview of the eugenics movement in the United States, which found sympathizers among many luminaries of American medicine in the 19th and early 20th centuries. With its disdain for the disabled, who were considered genetically inferior, the movement paved the way for use of “defective’’ children in research. The book then provides multiple examples of medical experiments perpetrated on developmentally delayed and physically disabled children at multiple institutions across the country over the course of decades.

Often reading like case studies straight out of the 1947 Nazi doctors’ trial, these include the forced castration of dozens of boys to prevent or halt regular masturbation; infecting developmentally delayed children as young as 4 with gonorrhea; and treating children as young as 6 who had been diagnosed with schizophrenia or autism with twice-daily doses of LSD for months on end.

One of the most famous examples of the abuse of institutionalized children occurred at the Willowbrook State School on Staten Island, where hundreds of mentally and physically disabled children were purposely infected with hepatitis. While the experiments did yield information about the disease, there is no escaping the fact that these were conducted on children who were supposedly under the protection of the state and who had nothing to gain, but everything to lose, by participating....

The survivor of a paedophile ring blamed over the death of his two brothers last night slammed a report into the scandal for failing to name the beasts involved.

Chris Johns, who suffered at the hands of abusers in North Wales care homes for years, said the full truth was still being hushed up despite the files being released yesterday – 17 years after they were written.

He said his brothers Adrian and Leander were killed to stop them revealing the horrific details of sex attacks carried out on children from all over Britain. He said: “It’s just another cover-up. This report doesn’t even name names. Half of them got away with what they did.”

The 300-page Jillings Report was thought to have been destroyed, but it resurfaced last year when the North Wales children’s home scandal came back into focus with explosive claims the number of victims could be as high as 200.

It lists details of 12 young men whose deaths were thought to have been linked to the abuse they suffered between the late 60s and 80s. It even suggests serving police officers from the time and council staff could have been named as suspects....

Mr Johns’ brother Adrian, 32, died in 1992 in an arson attack before he had a chance to give a statement about the abuse he suffered at the Bryn Alyn home in the 1970s.
He suffered at the hands of paedophile John Allen, who made a fortune running a number of homes.

Leander survived the attack in Brighton with awful burns and in 1995 both he and Chris gave evidence against Allen. Leander, 34, known as Lea, died days later from an overdose, which Chris and his family have always questioned. During the week between Leander’s evidence and his death, Allen had absconded from bail.

His whereabouts were never explained. He claimed he had a breakdown and wandered lost in a wood. But £16,500 was taken from his bank accounts during that time.
Allen was given six years for sex assaults on boys and is now free....

It was 1954 and at 14, he had already spent nearly half his life in a succession of Massachusetts institutions that unflinchingly labeled kids like him "morons." But his new place, the Fernald State School in Waltham, seemed like it might be different.

"They picked some of the oldest guys and asked us if we wanted to be in this club," Dyer, 72, said in an interview from his home in Watertown, Mass. "We all got together and decided, why not? We'll get time off the grounds."....

It took decades before Dyer learned that he and the boys he still considers brothers were little more than guinea pigs. A state task force in 1994 found Massachusetts Institute of Technology scientists fed the unwitting boys radioactive oatmeal and milk for a Quaker Oats nutrition study.

His story is one of many told in a new book, "Against Their Will," the result of five years of gathering data from medical and university libraries and archives, medical journals and records from many of the now-shuttered state hospitals and orphanages where experiments were conducted....

"These are throwaway, unwanted, damaged people," said Allen Hornblum, one of the book's authors. "You had the best and the brightest minds doing this stuff, doing it very cavalierly and doing it exclusively to the most vulnerable."

While researching his 1998 book "Acres of Skin" about medical experiments on inmates in Holmesburg Prison in Philadelphia, Hornblum came across documentation about similar experiments conducted on children and even infants.

Thousands of children warehoused in overcrowded orphanages and facilities for "feebleminded" children underwent spinal taps, lobotomies and electric shock. They were also exposed to viruses, radioactive and hazardous chemicals and were administered psychotropic drugs.

Often lacking legal or family advocates, they were treated in the decades after World War II as cheap and abundant raw material for trials that proved lucrative for scientists who conducted the tests and for the institutions housing the kids....

In one of the most egregious cases in the book, more than 90 children as young as 6 were given large twice-daily doses of LSD — some for a year or more — as an experimental treatment for schizophrenia and autism at Creedmoor State Hospital in the New York City borough of Queens in the 1960s.

On New York's Staten Island from the 1950s to the early 1970s, mentally disabled children at the Willowbrook State School — famously called a "snake pit" by Sen. Robert Kennedy after a 1965 visit — were intentionally infected with viral hepatitis by feeding them an extract made from the feces of infected patients.

In dozens of orphanages and sanitariums, children were exposed to hepatitis, meningitis, ringworm, influenza, measles, mumps and polio in the name of medical advancement. Dietary experiments induced severe vitamin and mineral deficiencies to observe the effect on the children's health.

....Dyer, a retired truck driver, makes ends meet with yard sales and odd jobs. He and about 30 former "Fernald Science Club" boys filed a class-action lawsuit that settled out of court in 1998; Dyer says they ended up with around $30,000 apiece....

Babies Seeing Violence Show Aggression Later
June 17, 2013 — Aggression in school-age children may have its origins in children 3 years old and younger who witnessed violence between their mothers and partners, according to a new Case Western Reserve University study.

"People may think children that young are passive and unaware, but they pay attention to what's happening around them," said Megan Holmes, assistant professor of social work at the Jack, Joseph and Morton Mandel School of Applied Social Sciences at Case Western Reserve in Cleveland.

Between three and 10 million children witness some form of domestic violence each year, according the National Center for Children Exposed to Violence.

Holmes said researchers know the impact of recent exposure to violence, but little information has been available about the long-term effect from the early years of life. To her knowledge, she said her study is the first to look at the effect of early exposure to domestic violence and its impact on the development of social behavior.

In the study, "The sleeper effect of intimate partner violence (IPV) exposure: long-term consequences on young children's aggressive behavior," Holmes analyzed the behavior of 107 children exposed to IPV in their first three years but never again after age 3. The outcomes of those children were compared to 339 children who were never exposed....

Analyzing aggressive behaviors, Holmes saw no behavioral differences between those who did or did not witness violence between the ages of 3 and 5, but children exposed to violence increased their aggression when they reached school age. And the more frequently IPV was witnessed, the more aggressive the behaviors became.

Meanwhile, children never exposed to IPV gradually decreased in aggression....

Death sentence passed on police officer who killed his wife for ritual

The Supreme Court on Friday affirmed the death sentence passed on Usman Maigari, a former policeman, for killing his wife, Sa’adatu.

....The appellant committed the offence on January 11, 1999, at his house in Yabo, Yabo Local Government Area of Sokoto State.

The former police officer had strangulated his wife to death for ritual purposes and conveyed her corpse and dumped it in a culvert near Janzomo Village along Kanjiji-Shagari road....

Woman and five men face trial in February over child sex charges

A woman and five men have made their first appearance at crown court accused of a string of child sex offences including child prostitution and rape.

The alleged offences relate to 17 victims, 16 girls and one boy, aged as young as 12, between 2004 and 2011 in the Sheffield area.

Many were vulnerable and in care at the time of the alleged offences, Sheffield Crown Court heard.

The woman, who cannot be named for legal reasons, is accused of 41 offences relating to victims aged between 12 and 20.

She is charged with arranging or facilitating a child sexual offence, inciting or causing a child to become a prostitute and inciting or arranging or facilitating the prostitution of a child. The offences are said to have taken place between 2006 and 2010....

The head of a polygamous sect was given two life sentences on Friday for the murders of a 4-year-old boy and a wife who tried to escape his cult.

Prosecutors in Durham, N.C., found Peter Moses Jr. responsible for the shooting deaths of little Jadon Higganbothan and 28-year-old Antoinetta McKoy — two innocent victims of the “Black Hebrew Israelites.”

Moses called himself the chosen leader of one of the ancient tribes of Israel....

From his house on Pear Tree Lane, Moses managed to closely monitor and control his five “wives.” The women called one another sisters, studied the Bible together and shared chores. They would periodically share Moses’ bed.

The women handed any money they earned over to their leader, while Moses sat at home and brooded over his theology....

Conference Information

Conference Participants
The conference will include all those either recovering from ritual abuse and/or fighting against ritual abuse. This includes survivors, co-survivors, therapists, other helping professionals, lawyers and all others interested in learning more about ritual abuse.
Members of secret organizations, acting out perpetrators, and/or members of unsympathetic organizations are excluded from the conference. This is for the protection and safety of those in attendance.
People have told us that last year’s conference was the safest conference they have ever been to. But, this conference may not necessarily be safe for all survivors. S.M.A.R.T. recommends that you try to bring a support person that is familiar with mind control techniques and staying with that person or another safe person at all times.

Ellen Lacter, Ph.D., has been a clinical psychologist in San Diego, California, USA, for 27 years and specializes in the treatment of trauma and dissociative disorders in both adults and children. Melisa Noel is certified in EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques) through the Association for the Advancement of Meridian Energy Techniques. She teaches and gives one on one sessions using NRM (Natural Reassociation Method). She recently started to specialize in RA/MC and trauma recovery. She previously worked in the trauma recovery field as a licensed foster parent and with various organizations. Melisa is a mind control and torture survivor/thriver of a pedophile porn ring. Janet Thomas is a writer and a RA/MC survivor in healing for more than 25 years. Her recent book, Day Breaks Over Dharamsala–A Memoir of Life Lost & Found explores spiritual healing from RA/MC abuse. Her book, The Battle in Seattle, explores global socio-economic abuse. She lives on an island in the northwest U.S. Her topic is: Nature and the Nature of Healing – How the natural world restores us to our senses – inside and out.

Until age seven Maria was subject to satanic abuse. Maria experienced perverse worship, torturous brain programming, sexual violence, body dislocations and was drugged.  Although relocated at age seven; molestation from random strangers and family members continued until she moved out. Since she was age 19 in 1991, she has been consistent in healing herself and reversing all the mind control experienced in her life. She lives well with profound awareness. Dave Staffen escaped from a lifetime of Satanic Ritual Abuse in 2007, at age 53. Alexandra is a multi disciplinary therapist.  She incorporates various types of energy work, muscle testing, NLP, essential oils, and color into her cognitive behavioral therapy practice. She has an M. A. in Counseling Psychology and has been working with ritual abuse survivors for over 20 years. Her topic is: What I have learned so far.

Sarah Jacqueline freed herself through a deep inner journey from living in numbness to now living in a feeling free life.  She was born into Satanic abuse and was exposed for all of her childhood and teenage years abuse that nobody should ever experience. She speaks about hope and about letting go and moving forward…now is the time to just let it go and help! Her topic is: Exposing Satanic Abuse and Hope in Healing.

Shelby was raised in the Mormon church.  The Mother was a multigenerational Mormon and The Father was a convert from a Masonic background. Shelby has had her name removed from the Mormon Church and no longer affiliates herself with this organization. Shelby has claimed her life and now teaches and owns her own Martial Arts school.  She also trains dogs for personal protection for survivors of abuse and police dog training.  Shelby speaks at conferences helping to inspire other survivors that they can claim their life from abuse.  Her topic is: Overcoming Triggers and Empowering your Alters.

Fee waiver application fees are $95.00 for two days and $50 for one day, and are non-refundable. Please do not send fees until your application is accepted. Transportation
There is a free shuttle to and from the airport. Hotel parking is available at no charge for those attending the conference. Survivors should try to bring a support person with them to the conference. Presentation of a picture ID will be required of all conference participants, unless prior arrangements are made.
